Charles Tiner — also known as N'Treble — is a soulful blues artist with deep roots in gospel music. Born in Chicago, his love for singing and playing piano started at just five years old. That gospel foundation made the move into blues a natural one.
His father, a Baptist pastor, moved the family to Springfield, Illinois, where Charles and his older brother became the church musicians. Musicals, plays and community arts programs followed, feeding a lifelong love of performance. He went on to study in St. Louis, earning an associate degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's in theology — then spent years fronting bands as a singer and keyboardist before stepping into a solo career, writing and performing his own songs both at home and abroad.
